1. Retired Senior membership is limited to seniors over the age of 60 who are retired.
2. Student membership is limited to those enrolled in either an undergraduate or post graduate course in university or college located in Japan.
3. Educational members receive "Kagaku-to Kyoiku" (Chemistry & Education) as their membership journal instead of "Kagaku-to Kogyou" (Chemistry & Chemical Industry).
4. Student Educational members receive "Kagaku-to Kyoiku" (Chemistry & Education) as their membership journal instead of "Kagaku-to Kogyou" (Chemistry & Chemical Industry).
