The 41st International Olympiad in 2009 will be held in London, UK, and it was decided at the executive committee of IChO held in July 2005 in Korea that the 42nd IChO in 2010 will be held in Tokyo, Japan. Upon the decision, CSJ changed the IChO inviting committee, chaired by Masato Ito, Souka University, into the IChO preparatory committee, chaired by Tadashi Watanabe of The University of Tokyo, and worked to organize "International Chemsitry Olympiad Japan Committee (IChOJC). As of December 2006, the IChOJC is comprised of 16 sponsoring organizations and 16 observer organizations. Executive members are as follows.
